After police found Dennis Bannon lying in the roadway, he was taken to Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank where he was pronounced dead.

A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle Friday night on Route 36 in Middletown, authorities said. The man was hit at 8:05 p.m. on the northbound side not far from Broadway Avenue and Navy Reserve Center Earle,

Birmingham police and firefighters were dispatched about 3 a.m. to I-65 northbound in downtown. The location was near Third Avenue South. The victim was pronounced dead on the scene, according to BFRS.
