Elon Musk, his car company Tesla and Warner Brothers Discovery were sued Monday over their alleged artificial intelligence-fueled copyright infringement of images from the film “Blade Runner 2049” to promote Tesla’s robotaxi concept.

The Hollywood production company behind the sci-fi opus said that Musk and Tesla used artificial intelligence to create unlicensed promotional materials for its new “robotaxi.”

The maker of the film Blade Runner 2049 has sued Tesla, Elon Musk and Warner Bros Discovery, alleging they used imagery from the movie without permission. Production firm Alcon Entertainment claims it had specifically denied a request from Warner Bros to use material from the film at the launch event for Tesla's long-awaited robotaxi.
